“The purpose of the poetry is not to dazzle us with an astonishing thought, but to make one moment of existence unforgettable and worthy of unbearable nostalgia.”
— Milan Kundera, Immortality

Memory Garden is an ongoing series of portraits that reflects on memory as a relational construct. The project creates a landscape of the artist’s life, not through events, but through allegories to the people who have shaped it.

Each portrait contains a metaphor for a specific relationship and the emotional weight it carried. By remaining largely symbolic, the work invites viewers to speculate and construct their own narratives based on their subjective experiences. Through this process, the project highlights the subjective and non-linear nature of memory, without diminishing the personal meaning each relationship holds for the artist.
