Don’t Mention Suicide is a publication that functions as both artwork and research, examining how society engages with suicide through an autoethnographic approach framed by the concepts of vulnerable anthropology and sentipensante.

The project argues that the dominant discourse often approaches suicide through avoidance, treating silence as a form of care which limits the opportunities for deeper understanding and more diverse discussion. The publication challenges this position, proposing that it be reevaluated while exploring how the subject might be addressed with greater openness, nuance and consideration for the diversity of experiences that surround it.
Personal reflections and testimonials from individuals who have experienced suicidal ideation or attempts were gathered through research tools developed in collaboration with a psychologist. Combined with theoretical frameworks from psychology and anthropology, insights were drawn that challenge common assumptions surrounding suicide while establishing groundwork for future projects that engage with the subject.
