Oversaw the editorial design of the digital publication Interactive Atlas of Leishmaniasis in the Americas for the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), the regional office of the World Health Organization (WHO). Originally developed in Spanish, the publication was later localized into English and Portuguese.
The primary objective was to produce a digital atlas compatible with a wide array of technologies commonly used in affected areas. This required extensive technical research and design compromises to ensure accessibility on devices that would be considered obsolete by current standards.
The layout design prioritizes readability across more than 1,000 images which were edited and optimized for the publication. It was also developed and tested across multiple mobile devices to guarantee usability and legibility under varied technical conditions with design decisions and compromises favouring maximum accessibility for communities impacted by the disease.
